Article Name. Here is how to choose the right size and style table rental for your party. Includes tips for how many people will fit at each table. November 22, by Sara Feulner. Recent Articles. What Size Tent do I Need? Lori 8 years ago. If a 60" round table would be too big, would a 54" work and seat 6 comfortably? Thanks for any advice you can give me! Email Save Comment Featured Answer. Lori Original Author. Just following up on my old post, here is how the room turned out with the 54" table.

I had that unsettling revelation last night, I've been thinking all along about the table size and not considering the fact that the chairs may not tuck all the way under it. If the chairs stick out an additional foot randomly guessing on the foot , would the 2' left between the chair back and wall be okay? Like Save. Thank you It will definitely work. And very good observation on your part.
The chairs will stick out 9" approximately with 5 chairs. This is not bad. The 2' would be the minimum space left. You want your idea to look like a work of art sitting in the dining area. I believe you will have this affect. Like 1 Save.
Related Discussions 11 Foot wide round dining room Q. You need a minimum of 30", and a preferable distance of 36" around the table on all sides to get in and out. So if you subtract 60" which is 5' from your 11" diameter room, you are left with a lovely 72" table, easily seating 8 in nicely sized chairs, but with a somewhat tight space to get in and out.
If you leave 36" of space around your table, you'll have room for a 60" table, seating 8 in small narrow chairs, but with sufficient space behind the chairs to walk around. So maybe you should consider a 66" diameter table, which again will seat 8 in a nice chair.
I personally have a 69" glass top dining table with 8 French arm chairs that fit around it. I can squeeze an extra one in when necessary. But I have plenty of space around the table. If you'll recall your math lesson about pi, you can figure the circumference of a table by multiplying the diameter width across table by 3. Once you know how many inches you have around the table, you can figure out how many chairs of a certain size you can fit around it.
Just divide the circumference by the number of chairs you want to see what size they must be. Or by the width of the chairs your have to see how many will fit. But be aware that the chair only fits up to the edge of the table with this method, so you should probably allow 3 or 4" extra for each chair so that there is space between the chairs when they are pushed in.
Welcome to the confusion of round dining tables! Bon appetit! Daybeds are great space savers and work not just as beds so you could use the room for multipurpose. If you go daybed, consider the trundle so when couples stay you can make the bed into a full. A small glass side table would be nice and not take up visual space, then wall mount lamps by each side of the bed. Pretty light fixture and a corner chair or a narrow dresser and that's really all you need.
You could put a glass coffee table instead of a side table since the room is probably too narrow, then it's more like a sitting room but with a bed.
What size table should you use in a 10 x 11 ft dining area Q. Is it kitchen or formal dining? If it is informal- try a table that has drop downs. This one is from IKEA but there are others. When the sides are up it will seat 2 - 4 people. Another option is a bench on one side. The low profile of the bench makes it less awkward to walk around.
You need a minimum of 44" to walk around a table if someone is sitting in the chair. So that leaves a 6' x 7' area to 'fill'- the room is large enough. Consider a round table maybe. Then you must allow for doorways and pathways. Tape the floor off and see what feels comfortable as you walk through the room. No i havent chosen couches yet I saw a blue white leather couch But worried it clashes with antique White and brown cabinets from my kitchen That was a sectional but the Chaise was only 69 inches deep and the arm of the chaise can retrack down Giving me full view of my window and 5' direct access to the Window The back on the long part on the long wall are also retrackable allowing deep seating as well or retrack forward for more conventisl seating Individually back pillow retractable Still worried about configuration And blue white?
What do you think? J 8 years ago. Here's a pic of my dining room - 60" table with square pedestal base. Like 4 Save. Off topic Lori, this is a beautiful room! I have a small Cape and having been trying to figure out what to do with my dining room - this is perfect! Reducing the seating to 6 will give your guests more space. Although this is true, 10 chairs would be rather tight. In contrast to Round Tables for formal events, Banquet Tables rentals are typically ideal for more casual occasions.
Rectangular in shape, they can be set up individually or connected side-by-side in long rows. This table style is a great option for school events, family reunions, graduation parties, outdoor BBQs and picnics, or large banquets. The long and slim shape of banquet tables can allow more guests to be seated than round tables.
The most common length for Banquet Tables are 4 ft. With 4 chairs placed on each long side of the table, every 8 ft. Although 4 ft. Perfect for small garden weddings, showers, or cocktail parties, Bistro Tables are a great way to seat your guests as couples.
The only difference between the High Top Table rentals and the Bistro Tables mentioned above is the height. As the name suggests, these tables are similar to what you would see at a bar, lounge, or pub. This style table can be used with bar stools for your guests to be seated while enjoying casual cocktails or appetizers. They are also commonly used without chairs, so guests can stand around the tables while they move about and socialize.
High Top Tables also work great when placed around the dance floor at a wedding reception. When purchasing your dining table you will want to consider how the table will be used throughout the year. Special occasions might call for a more formal dining environment. While family gatherings — think: large holiday feasts or a casual jeans and t-shirt dinner party — are more relaxed. For dining environments with children, we recommend utilizing bench seating instead of chairs.
Dining table shape greatly affects how easy it is to seat and accommodate diners. In order of most efficient to least efficient seating capacity, rectangular tables reign supreme. Followed by oval, round, and lastly, square. Below, we provide the seating capacities for various table shapes and sizes.
