Skip to main content. COVID Information for summer Testing: All students in the Amherst area intending to access in-person resources are required to participate in testing once a week. Asymptomatic Testing Requirements are as follows: Students who reside on campus are required to be tested twice a week.
Students coming to campus for face-to-face classes, research labs or work are required to be tested once a week. Graduate students coming to campus are required to get tested once a week.
Consistent with this policy, such individuals may remove their face covering only in a private office when alone. Face coverings will remain mandatory in limited circumstances: for all individuals on public and private transportation systems including rideshares, livery, taxi, ferries, PVTA and transportation stations ; hild care facilities; healthcare facilities such as University Health Services; when getting tested at the Public Health Promotion Center at the Mullins Center; UMass Vaccine Clinic in the Campus Center.

There will be an option on the Move-Out Reservation page to indicate you are leaving early. You will then be prompted to enter your departure date.
It is in your best interest to move out during RSD hours in order to be checked out by and return your key to RSD staff. You are expected to complete your move out within an hour. Contact Residential Life Student Services at least three business days prior to your departure date. Tell us the day and time you need to leave. We will arrange for you to have access to the RSD after hours key drop box. To choose the date and time of your move-out, you must log into SPIRE using a desktop or laptop not a mobile device.
If you have previously updated your desktop version of SPIRE, you must select 'go back to old interface' in the menu. Select the time you intend to be ready to vacate. You will have one hour from that time to complete your move-out. Why do I need to make a move out reservation? Move-Out Reservations are designed to facilitate social distancing in building lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and at the RSDs. All students must make a Move-Out Reservation. Students who do not self-select will be assigned a Move-Out Reservation.
When should I make my Move-Out Reservation for? Plan to depart campus no later than 24 hours after your last scheduled exam. Be sure to communicate with room, apartment, and suitemates to ensure you are selecting different times.
